I found this recipe for easy dill dip in my grandma’s stash of old recipes the other day, and I couldn’t wait to make it. It’s cool, creamy and perfect for snacking. If you love the fresh taste of dill, you’ll go crazy for this creamy dill dip!

I have similar dip recipe, which also came from Grandma’s collection, only it has cucumber and fresh dill in it. As much as I love that one, this cucumber dip is even easier. This one uses fresh parsley but dried dill so there’s a little bit less prep work involved.

You still get that awesome dill taste, though, and that’s really what counts! And you could definitely sub dried parsley for fresh if you have it. I love the taste of fresh parsley, so I usually always have some in the fridge. But, I don’t always have fresh dill, so this recipe really is perfect for me!

How do you make creamy dill dip?

Like I said, it doesn’t get much easier than this! Just mix your mayo and sour cream in a bowl. Then, stir in the rest of the ingredients. The only real prep work here is chopping up the parsley.

how to make creamy dill dip

You can start dipping right away, but this dill dip tastes even better after the flavors develop. Give it a couple of hours in the fridge, and it tastes even better!

This particular recipe doesn’t even call for any added salt, so it’s definitely lower in sodium than most dips. The only sodium in it comes from the mayo and sour cream. You can definitely add salt if you want to, but taste it first — k?

Is this dill dip gluten free?

This dill dip recipe contains mayo and sour cream, so you’ll need to check the labels on the products you use to verify if they are gluten free.

What do you serve with dill dip?

This creamy dill dip is perfect for fresh vegetables! Even my picky eaters will happily eat raw veggies if I serve them with a dip. You can also serve it with crackers and chips. Or, you can thin it with a little milk, and it makes a delicious homemade salad dressing!
