The school year is drawing to a close, but instead of things slowing down, life is crazy busy right now. The kids have finals, year-end projects and field trips, and their schedules are all completely different. I seem to be spending more time in the car than at home, but hey, that’s normal, right?!

Anyway, when the kids come home, they’re super hungry, so we’re going through snacks like crazy. We always have plenty of fresh fruit available, but sometimes they’re in the mood for a little something more, like this easy fruit dip.

I first shared this recipe over at PinkWhen last fall, right after school first started. I can’t believe how fast time flies, and I honestly think that it goes by faster once the kids are in school — crazy, right? So now that the school year is about over, I’m finally getting around to posting it here.

The kids love peanut butter, but it’s so thick that it can be kind of hard deal with. What’s nice about this recipe is that it’s light and creamy, so it’s perfect for dipping, and there’s no need to use a spoon or knife for spreading. Just dunk an apple slice into the mixture, and you get a nice amount of dip on the fruit.

And since the dip contains both peanut butter and yogurt, it makes a nice protein-rich snack. And did I mention that it’s absolutely delicious? The kids love it, and so do I!

I like to add a little cinnamon and honey for extra flavor, although if I’m in a hurry, and the kids are really hungry, I’ll just mix the yogurt and peanut butter together and serve it like that. It’s still just as good.

The kids enjoy this peanut butter fruit dip with apple slices, raisins, graham crackers, pretzels and even yogurt covered raisins. You can pretty much pair it with anything you want!

This easy peanut butter fruit dip recipe is perfect snacks or parties

And even though this dip is great for after-school snacking, you can serve it at picnics, parties and potlucks or just about whenever you get an attack of the munchies.

And knowing my kiddos, I’ll be making this dip all summer long.

Happy snacking!
