This easy strawberry milkshake is made with just 3 wholesome ingredients. This rich and creamy treat is perfect for spring!
My family and I are just crazy about strawberries. I use these tasty little berries in desserts, salads and drinks. Sometimes, the kids and I cover them in chocolate, and sometimes, I just put big old bowl of plain berries on the counter for the kids to snack on. In the winter, I buy frozen strawberries to make breakfast smoothies, but honestly, fresh strawberries are so much better!
So when it's strawberry season, we like to celebrate, and we kind of go overboard -- but in a good way.
As much as I love making healthy smoothies, there are those days when you just gotta indulge and make something just a tiny bit richer and sweeter and way more decadent -- like a milkshake. A rich, thick, frosty strawberry milkshake -- yum!
You could easily hop in the car and get a shake from your local fast food place, but really, homemade milkshakes taste better -- way better. And, they're also super quick and easy to make, and you only need 3 ingredients -- all natural vanilly ice cream, fresh strawberries and whole milk.
Normally, I buy 2 percent milk for drinking, but whole milk is perfect for making milkshakes. It just makes them a little richer and thicker, which is what you want in a shake. Personally, I like them thick enough to eat with a spoon, but if you like them slightly thinner, just add a little more milk -- but not too much more!
I first shared this easy strawberry shake recipe over on PinkWhen last summer, but since it's strawberry season again, I wanted to share it with all of you!

Shakes stay colder longer if the glasses are nice and frosty, so I'll usually stick a couple of tall glasses or mason jars in the freezer before I make the milkshakes. Then, I pour the ingredients into the glasses and top them with dollops of whipped cream and more sliced strawberries.
The kids love 'em, and sometimes they'll even let me have a sip or two. Yep, they're real generous like that!
But that's fine.
I know where the good chocolate is hidden!
Have a super day, friends!
