I’ve had three of the kiddos home sick this week, so there hasn’t been a lot of project time around the house. So, I thought I’d do something different and show you some vintage ads that appeared in a copy of Life Magazine from November of 1963 – exactly 50 years ago.
Recently, my parents were going through some of the vintage items they’ve kept around their home and brought over some magazines and a few of my grandmother’s old cookbooks. Sadly, the magazines are not in great shape and are beginning to fall apart. But, they are fascinating to read! I didn’t even know how many other people appreciate vintage things until I started blogging and found other vintage lovers out there! I know some of these aren’t the best quality, but here a few of the ads that caught my eye.
If you wanted the latest electronics back in 1963, you would have been interested in this ad. I had to explain to my kids what a record player did! They also thought the TV screen was way too small.
This ad caught my eye because cotton is so popular now. I think my mom had some nightgowns like this.
