With Halloween just around the corner, I’m thinking ahead to a more fall-like decorating scheme. Today, I tweaked the decorations on the entryway table and kept the entire thing very simple. Our entryway is really part of the living/dining room area, and it is very open. The entire room already contains Halloween decor, so this table has to blend in and not compete with the Halloween decorations already in place. After Halloween is over, I’ll probably rearrange some things, but for now, this is what the entryway table looks like.
I kept the colors rather muted, except for little bits of orange. The only thing that is new is a Dollar Store pumpkin, which I repainted a soft, white shade.
I painted both of these pumpkins and added some burlap to the taller one. The taller one was attacked by one of the fur boys when he was a pup. He still hasn’t learned to stay away.
This was the only picture of the entire table, and he was absorbed by the leaves. Whenever I tried to get a good-close up by sitting on the floor, he thought it was time to play.
A closer shot of the Dollar Store pumpkin and its “edible” twin. I have to admit that a coat of paint can transform just about anything these days!
I couldn’t get a clear picture of this tray, but I love it, and it goes with the fall decor. My grandmother had a larger tray, and this reminds me of that one.
