Today, we headed out to the local Goodwill to see what treasures we could find. I was really hoping to score another cheap table that would be easy to refinish or repurpose, but the pickings were slim today. I have to admit that we got started too late, but Saturday is the one day we can all sleep late, and sleep won out over thrifting! I think I may be getting too thrifty–if that’s even possible. A lot of donated items were half off today, and I was still trying to keep the total purchase price to an absolute minimum!
Anyway, here is a peak at some of the haul. It’s not bad for under $5!
Basically, I came home with a star-shaped basket, which I’m thinking will be perfect for a thrifty Christmas craft, a glass vase, plates and a rectangular tray. I wanted a vase to hold some fall flowers, but this one might be too short for what I have, and I’m already thinking of another use for it. The plates will be used for a Thanksgiving display, and I already have an idea for the tray. Even though it’s actually in decent shape, it’s impossible to leave it alone–right?!
I’ll share individual pictures when I begin the repurposing.
Thanks for visiting!
