Rosemary Beer Bread

This easy Rosemary Beer Bread recipe uses no yeast and takes about an hour to make. Use all purpose or self rising flour for this quick no knead bread!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour or self rising
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder omit if using self rising
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt omit if using self rising
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary divided
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Add the flour, baking powder and sea salt to a large mixing bowl, and lightly stir
  • Add the sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons of dried rosemary
  • Pour the beer into the mixing bowl, and mix ingredients with a large spoon until just combined. Dough will be sticky
  • Spoon dough evenly into a well buttered 9 X 5 loaf pan, and pour melted butter all over top
  • Sprinkle remaining rosemary over top of bread, and place in oven
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean
  • Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then remove from pan, and slice

Notes

For lighter bread, sift the flour.
If using self rising flour, omit the baking powder and salt.
