Cheesy Ground Beef Taco Dip Recipe

Cheesy Ground Beef Taco Dip is a taco dip recipe with ground beef or leftover taco meat, cream cheese, salsa and cheese. An easy appetizer perfect for game days, holidays or Taco Tuesday!

Ingredients

  • 1 pounds lean ground beef
  • taco seasoning 1 packet or 3 tablespoons homemade
  • .5 cups water or beef broth
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Mexican blend or cheddar, Colby Jack or Monterey Jack
  • ½ cup chunky tomato salsa

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cook ground beef in a medium skillet until no longer pink, drain grease if needed
  • Add taco seasoning and water, and simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat
  • Add meat to greased 2 quart casserole dish, and mix in 1 cup shredded cheese, cream cheese and salsa
  • Spread mixture evenly in dish, smooth with spoon, and top with remaining shredded cheese
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and cheese is melted
  • Remove from oven, and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

Use Mexican blend cheese, cheddar, Colby Jack, Monterey Jack or a blend.
Spice up with chopped jalapeño peppers, diced onions, or mix in can of black beans or refried beans for extra protein.
To use leftover cooked taco meat, warm meat up on stove or in microwave,  then prepare as above
