This Pineapple Dump Cake recipe combines cake mix, crushed pineapple and butter to make a delicious dessert that is sure to be a family favorite! One of the easiest desserts ever and budget friendly, too!
Preheat oven to 350° f, and grease a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray
Pour both cans of crushed pineapple into baking dish, and spread evenly
Add brown sugar over pineapple
Spread dry cake mix evenly over pineapple layer
Place pats of butter in even rows on top of cake mix
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until top is golden brown and pineapple layer is bubbling
Allow to cool slightly and rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving
Notes
Bake time may vary with individual ovens and may take from 45 minutes to 1 hour.Make cake mix layer as even as possible. If some places appear dry during baking, you can add more butter or press cake mix into pineapple layer to moisten.Allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Cake is best served warm.
