Crockpot Christmas Candy is an easy no bake treat with peanuts and chocolate in the slow cooker. This crockpot candy recipe is foolproof and perfect for the holiday season.
4ouncesBakers Sweet German chocolate bar1 bar, broken up
12ouncessemi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Lightly spray the bottom of the slow cooker with non stick cooking spray
Pour the peanuts into the crockpot
Add the almond bark, then the Bakers chocolate bar and chocolate chips
Place the lid on the crockpot and cook for 1 hour on low
Stir the chocolate and peanuts together. If it's not quite melted, cook for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, stirring after each 15 minute increment until melted, and stir again
Turn crockpot off. Scoop mixture onto wax paper lined cookie sheets using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon. Try to form small mounds so that they candies are not flat
Decorate with holiday sprinkles or flaked salt, and allow to set. Candies take 1-2 hours to set at room temperature
Notes
Prevent condensation from dripping into chocolate by placing a dry, clean kitchen towel over the crockpot and place the lid on top of the towel.Store candies in airtight containers at room temperature or in refrigerator. You can layer with wax paper in between layers.Freeze the candies in freezer bags for up to 3 months. They freeze very well.Cook times vary with different brands and models of slow cookers. Older slow cookers may take up to 2 hours to cook.
