- 1 pint strawberries
- 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips 2 cups
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Wash strawberries under cold running water
Pat dry completely using paper towels, and place on wax paper lined baking sheet
Place chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl, and add coconut oil
Microwave on full power in 30 second increments, stirring gently after each 30 second increment, about 2 minutes total
Hold strawberries by stem or leaves, and dip into melted chocolate
Shake or rotate berries gently to remove excess chocolate, and place on wax paper-lined baking sheet to dry
Make sure to dry berries very well before dipping or the chocolate may not stick.
It's best to consume chocolate covered strawberries the same day you make them for best quality. Store in a cool, dry place.
