- 2 16.5 oz canned baked beans
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp dried minced onions
- 2 tsp ketchup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- sea salt and black pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to a baking dish or microwave-safe dish, and stir well
Cover with a vented cover, and microwave on high power for 5 minutes or until heated through, stirring about halfway through the cook time.
Beans can be cooked in the microwave or in the oven at 350 degrees f for about 30 minutes or until heated through. You can also heat them, covered, on a grill or on the stove top.
Add chopped cooked bacon for extra flavor, if desired. For less spice, omit smoked paprika and garlic powder.
