Ingredients

  • pounds rib eye steak cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • fresh parsley optional

Instructions

  • Pat steak dry with paper towel, and season with salt and pepper
  • Heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot
  • Working in batches, if necessary, add steak pieces to hot pan in a single layer, and cook for about 2 minutes per side.
  • Remove to a large plate, and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Add the butter, minced garlic and garlic powder to the pan, and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for about 2 minutes or until garlic is soft and butter is melted.
  • Return steak bites to pan, and stir well to coat meat with the sauce. Top with fresh parsley, if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

Don't crowd the pan. Cook the steak in batches for even browning if your pan is too small.
If you want more sauce, add more butter or a little beef broth to the skillet.
You can use sirloin or New York steak instead of rib eye steak.
