Crock Pot BBQ Beef Recipe

This Easy Crock Pot BBQ Beef recipe cooks low and slow in the slow cooker until fork tender and delicious. Makes the BEST BBQ beef sandwiches for an easy meal the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 3 pound chuck roast
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onions
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce divided

Instructions

  • Spray the bottom of the slow cooker with non stick spray
  • Pat roast dry, and place in slow cooker
  • Sprinkle brown sugar, minced onion flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked paprika on top of the roast, and rub evenly over the roast
  • Spread half of the barbecue sauce on top of the chuck roast, and place cover on crock pot
  • Cook for 8-10 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high or until meat is tender and shreds easily with 2 forks
  • Add remaining bbq sauce to shredded meat, and keep warm until ready to serve

Notes

You can use a 3 to 5 pound chuck roast with this recipe. Double ingredients if your roast is larger.
The meat will release plenty of juice as it cooks. If you like more liquid, add a little beef broth or Worcestershire sauce to the crock pot.
