Sausage Peppers and Onions
Italian sausages smothered in onions and peppers are perfect for a quick and easy meal.

- 6 Italian sausages mild or hot
- 2 medium yellow onions sliced
- 3 pieces bell peppers red, orange, yellow, cut into large
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil on medium heat, add the sausages, and cook until brown on both sides
Add the peppers, garlic, salt, pepper and onions, and cook until peppers and onions are soft and slightly brown.
Reduce heat, add red pepper flakes, if using, and simmer until ready to serve, stirring frequently
You can cut sausage into smaller pieces if desired
