Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 12 large eggs
  • ice and additional water for cooling

Instructions

  • Place trivet in the Instant Pot, and pour in 1 cup water
  • Arrange eggs evenly on trivet
  • Cover, turn valve to sealing position, and hit PRESSURE COOK for 5 minutes
  • Do a 5 minute natural release, and turn valve to venting position to release remaining pressure. When pin drops, remove lid, and carefully remove eggs to a large bowl filled with ice water
  • Allow eggs to cool for 5 minutes, then remove from ice bath, and peel or place in refrigerator until ready to use

Notes

Recipe was made in a 6-quart Instant Pot pressure cooker.
To make hard boiled eggs in the 8 quart Instant Pot, use 1 1/2 cups water or 2 cups, depending on instructions in the owner's manual. If you find your eggs overdone with the 5 minute natural release, do a quick release after the 5 minute cook time, followed by the 5 minute ice bath.
