Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

This Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad recipe with cooked chicken, tender pasta and crispy bacon in creamy ranch dressing is a delicious main dish. Cold pasta salad is perfect for a light summer dinner and a hit at family gatherings or potluck dinner!

  • 16 ounces cooked rotini pasta or 12 oz if tri colored
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast about 2, diced
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes cut in half
  • 1 English cucumber or celery stalk chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • cups ranch dressing
  • 1 cup sliced cheddar cheese or American cheese
  • 6 strips cooked bacon chopped


  • Cook pasta according to directions on box or cook in Instant Pot. Drain in colander, and rinse under cold water
  • Add pasta, chicken, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, tomatoes, celery and parsley to a large mixing bowl
  • Pour in dressing and cheese and about half of the bacon. Mix well. Top with remaining bacon and more parsley, if desired
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add more dressing before serving if needed


Use enough ranch dressing to make the salad creamy. You may have to add more or less than called for, depending upon the consistency of the ranch. 
Add chopped red onions instead of cucumber or celery, if desired. Use your favorite cheese or omit cheese, if desired.
