Cheesy Jalapeno Garlic Bread

- 1 loaf French bread
- 2 sticks butter
- 6 cloves garlic peeled and sliced in half
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 jalapeno pepper chopped and sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Slice loaf in half, lengthwise,and place on lined baking sheet
In a small saucepan, melt butter along with garlic, olive oil and jalapeno peppers over low heat
Brush the melted butter and jalapenos over the bread, and discard the garlic pieces
Sprinkle bread with garlic powder, and top with cheese
Add sliced jalapeno peppers over top, if desired
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until bread is crisp and cheese is melted
Garnish with chopped cilantro, if desired
