- 1 pound chicken breasts or cutlets
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons butter optional
Season both sides of chicken with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper
Heat griddle to medium heat, and spread avocado oil and butter (if using) on the surface of the griddle
Place chicken evenly spaced on griddle, and cook for 3 minutes on both sides or until internal temperature is 165℉ according to instant-read thermometer
Remove to a clean platter or foil pan, cover, and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving
The cooking time will vary with larger pieces of chicken, and may take 5-6 minutes per side.
I recommend slicing larger pieces in half and pounding them thinner so they cook evenly.
You can use this basic recipe with your favorite marinade or seasoning blend or BBQ sauce.
