- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350℉ and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper or nonstick spray
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together until fully combined
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract
Add in the flour, baking soda and sea salt
Sift in the cocoa powder and mix until just combined
Stir in the chocolate chips using a spatula or large spoon
Evenly spread cookie dough into prepared baking dish
Top cookie bar dough with extra semi sweet chocolate chips
Bake for 25 minutes, or until edges are firm and toothpick comes out clean
Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then transfer to wire rack or cool surface to cool completely
Sift in cocoa powder to get rid of all clumps. You can use Dutch process or regular.
Do not over mix cookie dough. Over mixing will result in cake like bars.
Do not over bake cookie bars. Edges should be firm, and a toothpick should come out clean. Center may be soft but will firm up as the bars cool.
