- 1 pound smoked sausage
- 2 cups instant rice
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onions

- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups water
Slice the kielbasa into even slices, about ½ inch thick

Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, and bring to a boil over medium high heat
Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook until rice is soft and liquid is mostly absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Add a little butter at the end for extra creaminess, or add some shredded cheese for a cheesy version.
You can use turkey sausage, chicken sausage or any sausage as long as it is precooked.
You may need a little oil when frying the sausage, depending on what type of pan you are using.
