- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
- 2 slices Provolone cheese or 4 very thin slices
- 2 slices turkey breast
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the outside of each slice bread
Flip one slice over, and spread remaining mayo on the inside of the bread
Spread the mustard on top of the mayo
Sprinkle the cranberries on top of the mustard
Place the cheese slices evenly on top of the cranberries
Top with sliced turkey, and place the second slice of bread on top, with the mayo on the outside
Heat a griddle pan on the stove over medium heat, and cook the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and heated through. The cheese should be completely melted
If you're using very thin slices of cheese, you can use up to 4 slices. I usually use 2 slices if they are thicker.
Mozzarella and Muenster are good subs for the Provolone. You can also combine different cheeses.
You can use softened butter in place of the mayo.
