Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips plus extras for the top
  • 2 cups chopped Twix bars plus extras for the top

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir until combined and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter until fluffy.
  • Add in the white sugar and brown sugar. Beat until combined.
  • Mix in the vanilla.
  • Add one egg and beat. Then, beat in the second egg.
  • Gradually add in the dry ingredient mixture. Mix until fully combined.
  • With a spatula, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Twix bars.
  • Using a large cookie scoop (about 2 tablespoons), scoop the dough into balls. Set the dough balls on a prepared baking sheet and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
  • In the mean time, preheat the oven at 350°F.
  • Set the cookie dough balls on a prepared baking sheet, making sure they're at least 2 inches apart from each other.
  • Place the extra chocolate chips and chopped Twix bars on top of the coookie dough balls.
  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. The edges should be firm and golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack or plate.

Notes

Be sure to use softened butter or room temperature butter for easier mixing.
I find it easier to scoop out the cookie dough into balls of dough and then let those chill as opposed to letting the dough chill in the bowl. Do whatever is easiest for you.
Swirl a large drinking glass around the freshly baked cookies to make them the perfect round shape.
You can add on even more chopped Twix bars after the cookies finished baking.
