Cannoli Dip

Cannoli Dip is an easy dessert dip with cream cheese, ricotta cheese and mini chocolate chips. An easy recipe for a delicious sweet dip that takes minutes to make! Just add your favorite dippers for an easy party treat.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces full fat cream cheese softened at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese whole milk or part skim
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips divided

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth
  • Add the ricotta cheese, and mix well
  • Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, and mix until well combined and creamy
  • Stir in half of the mini chocolate chips using a rubber spatula. Refrigerate until ready to serve, and top with remaining chocolate chips before serving

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing. You can sub mascarpone for a more authentic flavor.
Use whole milk ricotta or part skim for a richer, creamier dip. Some brands of ricotta have more liquid. You may need to give it a good stir or strain before using.
Dip is best when used within 3 days, and needs to be refrigerated.
