Crockpot Cinnamon Applesauce - No Sugar

This crockpot cinnamon applesauce recipe is made with just four ingredients and no sugar added. Delicious, easy to make and perfect for fall!

Ingredients

  • 8 large apples
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Wash and core apples, and cut into small pieces
  • Add apples to slow cooker, and top with cinnamon, water and lemon juice 
  • Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5-6 hours or until soft
  • Mash with potato masher or use immersion blender
  • Turn heat to low, and keep warm until ready to serve 
  • Refrigerate leftovers for 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months

Notes

I use a blend of Gala, Cosmic Crisp, Honeycrisp and sometimes Granny Smith but you can use your favorite type of apples.
If you prefer sweeter applesauce, try adding a little maple syrup or brown sugar.
You can also peel apples if you like very smooth applesauce or transfer cooled applesauce to a blender for an even smoother texture.
