Patriotic Funfetti Dip
This patriotic funfetti dip recipe is an easy dessert made with cake mix, cream cheese, Cool Whip and lots of festive red, white and blue sprinkles. This sweet dip is perfect for the 4th of July or any patriotic holiday!

- 15.25 oz white cake mix
- 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cool whip thawed
- 5 tablespoons red white and blue sprinkles plus extra for the top
Add the cake mix to a medium mixing bowl, and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mix reaches a temperature of 165℉. Set aside, and allow to cool completely
In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, milk and vanilla extract until fully combined and smooth
Add in the cooled heat treated cake mix, and beat until all lumps are gone
Fold in the cool whip with a rubber spatula until fully blened
Gently fold in the sprinkles
Transfer mixture into a serving bowl and top with additional sprinkles. Refrigerate until ready to serve
Make sure to heat treat cake mix before using for food safety.
You can also heat treat the cake mix by evenly spreading it on a baking sheet and baking it at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes in the oven.
Allow heat treated cake mix to cool completely before using, or the cream cheese will melt.
You can also use a 13.25 oz box of cake mix for this recipe.
You can use any type of milk or non dairy milk substitute.
