    Peaches and Cream Smoothie

Hi Friends! So how's summer treating you so far? I'm just loving the relaxed days, but as you can probably tell, we are so far from being on a schedule now! Anyway, I whipped up this Peaches and Cream Smoothie for the kids today, and it was so incredibly tasty that I just had to share. If you like peaches, you'll love this refreshing drink.

I absolutely love peaches, and they're definitely one of my favorite fruits. I was so excited to see them at our local marked last week, and I scooped up a bunch of them right away. I've been wanting to try making a peach smoothie for a long time, and the peaches were finally ripe enough today.

Actually, we couldn't quite decide between making a peach milkshake or a smoothie, but since we've been making a lot of ice cream desserts lately, the healthier smoothie won out. But I think we will end up trying the peach shake soon too!

Ingredients for Peaches and Cream Smoothies

    • 4 ripe peaches, sliced, with skins left on
    • 2 cups peach juice
    • 1 cup low fat vanilla yogurt (I use Mountain High brand)
    • 2 cups of ice

    Directions

Wash and slice peaches, and then add them to the blender.
Add the peach juice, yogurt and ice, and blend until smooth and frothy.
    Enjoy!

You can peel the peaches first, but I figured that we usually eat them with the skins anyway, so I left them on. And, our blender does a great job chopping everything up, so there are no texture issues to worry about.

You can also add more juice if you prefer a thinner smoothie, but I like mine to resemble a milkshake -- just not quite as thick. The vanilla-flavored yogurt makes the peach smoothie taste like a milkshake, but without all of the extra fat and calories. So yea!!

I have a feeling we'll be making this peaches and cream smoothie at least a few more times this summer. But, I still want to try the milkshake!

    Thanks a bunch for visiting!
