Cheesy jalapeno garlic bread is filled with spicy jalapeno peppers and loaded with cheddar and mozzarella cheese. It’s easy to prepare and the perfect complement to any family meal!
In our home, we try to have dinner together as a family almost every night. Most of the time, we eat at the table, but sometimes, we keep it extra casual and eat by the TV. My older kids tell me that we’re strange and that most of their friends eat by themselves, but oh well!
This is something that I grew up with, and I want to continue the same tradition with my own kids because I just think that this time with the family is so important. And, I think someday, the kids will get it!
When it comes to family dinners, one of our all-time favorite family meals is lasagna, and it definitely fits the definition of comfort food. I mean, you’ve got meat, cheese, pasta and sauce all in one dish — yum!
As much as I love this dish, I don’t make it that often since it does take some time to prepare. And let’s face it — we’re all pretty busy.
So when I saw this STOUFFER’S® Large Family Size Lasagna with Meat & Sauce at Walmart, I knew it would be perfect for my family.
STOUFFER’S® and I go way back. My mom bought this lasagna a lot, and I just loved that it tasted homemade. And when one of my kiddos was born, a family friend dropped one of these off for dinner.
Like I said, we go way back. I love that it’s made with real mozzarella cheese and has no preservatives — just how I make it!
So when I bought the lasagna, I also picked up some French bread so that I could make garlic bread to go with it.
But instead of making regular garlic bread, I thought if would be fun to add some spice to the meal, so I made cheesy jalapeno garlic bread, instead.
Basically, you just melt some butter, along with garlic and jalapeno peppers. Then, you brush it on the bread.
Then, you top the bread with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
And, you bake it until it’s all bubbly and golden brown — like this.
Mmmm — I just love that stretchy melted cheese!

Nutrition
Follow the directions on the package for the lasagna. I prepared the cheesy jalapeno garlic bread while the lasagna was baking, and then I let it sit while I baked the bread. This worked perfectly.
Just add a side of green salad, and you’ve got the perfect family meal. It’s made with a lot of love but without a lot of work!
If you want to turn the heat down on the garlic bread, just leave out the sliced jalapenos. But if you like spice as much as I do, leave them on!
How often do you eat dinner together as a family? Please tell me I’m not the only strange one!

My other half likes jalapenos, and we both love cheesy garlic bread, so one to add to the list!
Dee says
Usually, the ones who don’t like the extra heat peel the jalapenos off, so it works for us! 🙂
