I'm sharing another football friendly recipe with you all today, but this one's a little bit different. It's not your average ooey, gooey cheesy dip, but don't worry, because it still has plenty of flavor!

I've been making a serious effort to eat healthier this year, which is all well and good, except that we've got some major football games coming up. And you all know how much I love snacking during the games. So instead of cutting out some of my favorite game day appetizers entirely, I decided to include some healthier snacks, as well.

Like this completely delicious avocado bacon ranch dip. It's made with just a few very simple, all-natural ingredients, and it takes just a few minutes to put together. And, it's so easy that my kids even helped with the preparations.

You start by mashing up a few avocados. I like to keep it rustic, so I use a potato masher for this part.

Next, you add a little lime juice, some sour cream, and then you just mix in the remaining ingredients.

And don't forget the bacon -- because BACON!

When you make a dip, you need food for dipping, right? So, I cut up some fresh veggies and added a few very crispy snacks.  I used Snack Factory® Pretzel Crisps® and Kettle Brand® Potato Chips. These are some of my favorite snacks because not only are they perfect for dipping, but they're also made with simple ingredients and without any preservatives.

    They taste great too!

I put the dip in the center of a large platter and added the fresh veggies, chips and crisps. Easy peasy.

If you're having people over to watch the game, you can add some additional dips, meatballs, sliders or anything else to complete your spread. Because, what's football without great-tasting food?!

I don't see anything about the ranch. Am I missing something?

The seasonings add ranch flavor to the dip. If you want, you can add a packet of ranch dressing instead of the homemade seasonings in the recipe.
