This Blackstone popcorn recipe is a quick and easy way to make popcorn on the Blackstone griddle. The perfect snack for movie night or cookouts and so much fun to watch!

A Fun Way to Make Popcorn
If you need a snack for movie night, game night or you are having a cookout, you have to try making popcorn on your Blackstone griddle. When my daughter first suggested trying popcorn on the flat top grill, I was skeptical. But, we tried it, and we got perfectly popped popcorn that was absolutely delicious and way better than microwave popcorn.
The griddle adds a unique flavor, and you can melt the butter while you’re popping the corn. Plus, it is a super easy recipe, and it’s a lot of fun to watch the popcorn flying off the griddle!

Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you need to make it. Full amounts are in the printable recipe card below.
- Popping corn — usually found in the snack aisle of most grocery stores
- Avocado oil — or vegetable oil or any oil with a high smoke point
- Salt — for flavor
- Butter — adds flavor
You will also need a metal grilling dome to help the corn pop.
How to Make Popcorn on the Blackstone Griddle
First, you stir some oil with the corn. Then, heat your griddle to high heat, and add the corn kernels. Smooth them with a grilling spatula so they cook evenly, and cover with a cooking dome. Swirl in a circular motion until the corn stops popping. Add salt and melted butter, and enjoy your snack!

Quick Tips
Keep moving the dome so the corn doesn’t burn as it cooks. When the popping slows, the corn will lift the dome up, and you’ll know it is done.
Use a small foil tray for the butter and a large tray to hold the popcorn after it is cooked.

Variations
Season the popcorn with ranch powder, cheese powder, grated Parmesan cheese or your favorite seasoning for a different flavor.
Add your favorite candies or other mix-ins for movie night!

Now I can do most everything on my Blackstone! This was super easy and fun to listen to. Put too many kernels in the first time and they tarted to shoot out the side. The dogs loved that part. So easy with the butter right there. Added salt when we took it off the griddle. Yum!
Thanks, Jeff! This is a favorite around here!
