Stove Top Stuffing Pork Chops

This pork chops and stuffing recipe is one of those easy dinners that you can throw together in minutes and have it on the table in under an hour. I just love easy recipes like that!

Basically, you’ve got thick and tender pork chops topped with a creamy sauce and stuffing mix. Add some fresh or frozen veggies, and you’ve got yourself a complete meal.

I have a similar recipe with chicken that my kids love, and this is the same idea, only with pork. They love this easy pork chop bake just as much!

Why you’ll Love Pork Chop Stuffing Casserole

  • Super easy to make with very minimal prep — no chopping veggies and no browning the pork chops!
  • Pork chops stay juicy, tender and flavorful.
  • It’s a one pan meal, so everything cooks in one dish for fast clean-up!
  • Comfor food made with simple ingredients you may already have at home

Ingredients

boneless pork chops, stuffing mix, sour cream, cream soup, broth, butter, seasonings and green beans.

Here are the basic ingredients. You’ll find full amounts listed in the printable recipe card below.

  • Boneless pork chops — They should be close to 3/4 inch thick for best results.
  • Cream of chicken soup — the base of the creamy sauce
  • Sour cream — helps keep the pork chops tender
  • Seasonings — paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of sea salt and black pepper
  • Frozen green beans
  • Boxed stuffing mix — I used turkey, but any flavor will work
  • Chicken broth — to moisten the stuffing
  • Butter — flavors the stuffing and helps keep it moist

How to Make Pork Chop Stuffing Bake

Place the pork chops in a casserole dish. Then, mix the condensed soup with the sour cream and seasonings in a small bowl. Spread the sauce mixture evenly on top of the pork chops, and add the green beans. Sprinkle the stuffing packet evenly over the sauce, and pour the chicken broth over the stuffing. Top evenly with cubes of butter, and bake for 40-45 minutes or until pork reaches 145 degrees according to a meat thermometer.

Tips for the Best Pork Chops and Stuffing

The pork chops need to be thick for the baking time to work. If you only have thin chops, they will cook a lot faster.

To reduce the saltiness, strain the packet of stuffing so you’re not using all of the smaller crumbs and seasoning. You don’t have to do this if salty flavor doesn’t bother you.

If you’re using a different stuffing brand, you will only need roughly 6 ounces of the dry bread crumbs.

Variations

You can use a different flavor of condensed soup — cream of mushroom, cream of celery or cream of onion are all good options.

Frozen broccoli or frozen mixed veggies can be substituted for the green beans. You can also use fresh veggies or canned.

If you want wetter stuffing, you can mix the dry stuffing and broth in a bowl instead of pouring the broth on top of the mix.

Easy Pork Chop Stuffing Bake

By: Dee
Easy pork chops and stove top stuffing with cream of chicken soup bake in a creamy sauce with green beans. A quick weeknight meal ready in about 40 minutes.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork loin chops about ¾ inch thick
  • 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • pinch sea salt and black pepper optional
  • 1 cup frozen green beans
  • 6 ounces Stove Top Stuffing
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
  • 5 tablespoons butter cubed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉, and spray a baking dish with non-stick spray
  • Place pork chops in the baking dish
  • In a small bowl, add the cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup and sour cream ¼ cup sour cream
  • Add Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, garlic powder ½ teaspoon garlic powder, paprika ½ teaspoon paprika and a pinch of salt and pepper, and stir until blended
  • Spoon sauce mixture evenly on top of pork chops
  • Add green beans 1 cup frozen green beans on top and around the pork chops
  • Sprinkle dry stuffing mix on top of chops
  • Drizzle chicken broth ½ cup chicken broth on top of stuffing
  • Place cubes of butter 5 tablespoons butter evenly on top of stufing
  • Cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil, and bake for another 20 minutes or until stuffing is golden brown, and pork chops are at least 145℉ according to an instant read thermometer

Notes

Make sure you are using thick pork chops. Thin ones will over cook in the time listed in this recipe. If you only have thin chops, they will be done a lot faster.
To reduce the saltiness, I usually strain the stuffing mix and only use the larger bread cubes and not all of the crumbs and extra seasoning.
If you want wetter stuffing, you can mix the broth and stuffing mix in a bowl instead of drizzling it on top.
