Cheeseburger Hot Dogs are grilled and topped with cheesy, seasoned ground beef. This easy hot dog recipe is like a hamburger and hot dog all in one!

It’s grilling season, friends! And if you’re planning a cookout on the 4th of July or anytime this month, chances are, you have good old all-American hamburgers or hot dogs on the menu.
Now, I love burgers, and I love hot dogs, but sometimes, I can’t decide between the two. And honestly, hot dogs aren’t always that filling — know what I mean?
So, meat lovers — rejoice! I combined two of my favorite cookout foods and created these hearty, cheeseburger hot dogs. It’s like a chili dog, only it’s not spicy.
You just cook some ground beef, season it a little and mix in some cheese. The cheese helps bind the meat and makes it nice and cheesy. Then, you take the cheesy meat sauce and spoon it over grilled hot dogs.
And because we’re talking about all-american dogs here, you definitely want to serve these hot dogs in Wonder hot dog buns.
This grilling season, Wonder has teamed up with the United Services Organization (USO) to honor America’s heroes — the brave men and women in the U.S. military with the Camo for a Cause campaign.
I grew up in a military family, and I grew up eating Wonder bread. So supporting this cause was definitely a no-brainer for me! Wonder still has the same quality and flavor you remember, from Wonder Classic White and Whole Grain White to 100% Whole Wheat breads and, of course, Wonder Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns.
From now through the end of July, you can find specially marked packages of Wonder Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns at your local grocer. Just look for the stars, stripes and camo print on the packages!
And if you’re like me, and you can’t decide between hamburgers or hot dogs, I think you’ll like these cheeseburger hot dogs as a delicious compromise! You can serve them with foil grilled corn on the cob, Instant Pot potato salad and classic red, white and blue poke cake.
