    DIY Spider Plates

    Hi Everyone!

I have so many ideas for Halloween decor, and this one is probably one of the easiest crafts ever! Seriously, it takes seconds to complete this craft, and the results are too cute! Many of you know how much I love decorating with plates, and it bothered me that I didn't have any cute decorative plates for Halloween. Well today, I was in Party City, and when I saw some spider window clings, I knew they would be perfect to use for making some DIY spider plates!

The window clings were only 99 cents for an entire sheet, so that definitely spoke to my frugal side!

I have a set of white plates that I got a few years ago. It's one of those sets that you buy in a huge box, and it has every type of plate in in, including little saucers, which I've never used. We only use the large plates when we have company, but we don't use all of them, since the younger kids still have small plates. So, I thought the extras would be perfect to decorate for Halloween.

I just chose the clings that I thought would look best, and the kids helped smooth them onto the plates. I trimmed the web so that it would fit better, but that's all it took. Didn't I tell you this was easy?!

I made two more, and added an extra spider to one of them. I didn't want to add too many spiders because that would seriously creep me out! But, I think this is just enough. The designs really look like they were painted on the plates.

I put all three of them in my china cabinet, and I think they look very nice. And, you can't beat the price -- only 99 cents for three decorative plates! If you don't have your own plates, you could probably find cheap ones in a thrift store or the Dollar Store and use those.

I put the rest of the spiders on the bathroom mirrors. I thought about adding some to the tiles on the fireplace, but I didn't really want to see any spiders crawling up the wall, even if they are itsy bitsy!

Thank you so much for stopping by to look at my Halloween plates. I just love this time of year, don't you? Have a great day!

    Dee 🙂
