One Pan Pepperoni Pizza Pasta is one of the easiest dinners ever and takes less than 30 minutes to make. Kids of all ages love this one dish meal!
I have to admit that I am honestly loving the new Ragu Homestyle Sauces. I started out with the Traditional flavor, then I used the Garlic, and now I’m talking about the Thick and Hearty Four Cheese. So this is the third recipe that I’ve created using the sauces, and it turned out just as wonderful as the first two.
My younger kids started school this week, so life is crazier than ever. You probably know by now that I’m all about quick and easy meals, but they’re especially important during the school year. Eating dinner together as a family is important to me, and even though I love cooking, I would rather spend more time chatting with the kids around the dinner table.
The first few days are chaotic anyway, and after filling out mountains of paperwork, I need a simple dinner that I can get on the table in no time at all.
The kids voted for pizza, but we compromised, and I made this easy one pan pizza pasta instead. It’s got the flavor of pepperoni pizza, but it’s as a lot cheaper than take out and tastes much better than frozen.
How to Make One Pan Pepperoni Pizza Pasta
And, this one-pan pasta dish is super easy to make. Basically, you just mix a jar of the Ragu sauce with some water, and then you add the pasta.
The sauce will seem thin at first, but as the pasta cooks, the sauce gets nice and thick. It really hugs the pasta, and that’s exactly what you need for this type of dish. I don’t know about you, but I like a pizza with a thick and hearty sauce — definitely not runny! And since we’re trying to re-create the taste of a pizza here, this sauce does the job.
The Four Cheese Sauce is a wonderful blend of flavors that works very well in this particular recipe and probably in any recipe where you don’t want the sauce to overpower the rest of the dish.
And, like all of the Homestyle sauces, there are no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or anything like that. In other words, this is a lot like homemade, only it’s much easier!
You top this dish off with mozzarella cheese and a little bit of Parm, a few pepperoni slices and Italian seasoning. Then, you let the cheese melt and get nice and ooey gooey and super stretchy – just like your favorite pizza. And, that’s it. Easy, cheesy, completely delicious and totally kid friendly.
Not to mention, this is a one-pot meal, so clean-up is a breeze, as well. And that’s exactly what we all need on a crazy weeknight, right?
If you prefer a vegetarian version, just leave off the meat.
