This Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake recipe makes the best peach milkshakes ever! Made with fresh and frozen peaches, these summer treats are delicious!
This homemade peach milkshake is so easy to make, and it's probably my favorite milkshake recipe. This post was originally published in 2015, but since it's peach season, I'm sharing it once again!
I know I already told you about our little Flagstaff vacation. Well, before we left Flagstaff, we stopped at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru for a quick lunch to go.
So right as the Hubs was ordering, I spied a large picture of a peach milkshake from their menu, so of course, I just had to have one. And oh, my goodness, was it ever good!
So when we got home, guess what I made? That's right. I whipped up this Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake just so that I could experience the joy all over again!
I've told you before what a huge peach lover I am. Seriously, I love just about any peach recipe, especially peach dessert recipes!
But the funny part is that we don't have a Chick-fil-A near us, so I had no idea that this peachy confection even existed until just recently. Actually, this is probably a good thing since I would probably be buying milkshakes like crazy, and I definitely don't need to be doing that!
I'm also not usually big on copycat recipes either. I mean, I may try to make something similar if I happen to find a recipe I really like, but I've never gone out of my way to mimic the exact taste of something or call it a copycat recipe.
Until now.
See, this particular shake was super thick, like I prefer shakes to be, but instead of being smooth, it also had little bits of peaches in it. So you got the incredible taste of a juicy peach with every sip. And that's, what I wanted to re-create!
How to make a peach milkshake
I found that using a combination of frozen peaches and fresh peaches helped give me both the taste and the consistency I was after. I also used whole milk, just to keep the milkshake nice and creamy.
Because if there's one thing that bugs me, it's a thin, watery, runny milkshake. Really.
So, this definitely isn't diet food, but it's not like I drank the whole thing, as tempting as that may have been. In fact, all seven of us shared the peach shake when we were on vacation. Honestly!
But that's the fun part of being on vacation or even just enjoying summer vacation --it's perfectly fine to splurge every now and then. And since it's almost time for the kids to head back to school, I'm glad that we had the chance to indulge.

There is no Chick-fil-a near me, so this recipe is a life saver! It’s thick and delicious just like the original, but saves me the long drive and money. I love it so much!

Hello! I saw this recipe and I was intrigued. I had this wonderful peach ice cream milkshake at a hotel once and I’ve been craving it ever since. (Fortunately there is no Chik-Fil-A near me, haha). I happen to have some peaches, but they aren’t quite ripe yet. I can wait a few days of course, but I’d really love to make it sooner. My question is: have you made it with unripe peaches, and if so, has there been a noticeable taste difference? Is it worth it to wait? Thanks!
Dee says
I really recommend waiting until the peaches are ripe for best flavor. You can ripen them faster by putting them in a paper bag. Hope this helps!

I loved this and it tasted just like it came from Chik-fil-A. Do you think I could use Tillamook Peach ice cream instead of vanilla?
Dee says
I think peach ice cream would make a peach milkshake even better!
Teresa says
Wonder how it would taste if you used Mayfield's peach ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream?
Dee says
Probably even peachier! Let me know how you liked it!
Megan says
Sooo good and easy to make!
Kerri says
I’m lactose intolerant, any ideas on how to make this without dairy?
Dee says
I can't say for sure if it would work, since I've only used dairy, but you could try using lactose-free or plant-based products.

I’ve been trying to recreate the peach milkshake from CFA for years! There’s something in there I can’t quite get right? I want to say cinnamon or nutmeg. But it’s so faint I’m not sure! I wish I could get an inside peek at the ingredient list! But your shake with fresh and frozen peaches is a great tip!
Dee says
Thanks, Cristy. Next time I have one of their shakes, I'm going to see if I can detect any cinnamon or nutmeg flavors. That sounds really good!
