No-Churn Chocolate S'mores Ice Cream is loaded with graham crackers, chocolate chunks and mini marshmallows. You don't need an ice cream maker to enjoy this easy summer treat!
One of the best things about summer is that it's the perfect time to enjoy frozen treats, like ice cream. And, I really, truly love ice cream, especially if it's chocolate. It's definitely one of my favorite desserts, even though it's not something that I need to be eating.
So for Mother's Day, my oldest baby suggested making homemade no-churn vanilla ice cream for dessert, and of course, I couldn't say no to that!
We started making homemade ice cream last summer, and it was so easy that we were hooked. We started out with a simple recipe for OREO ice cream.
Then, we made a no-churn chocolate peanut butter ice cream that was loaded with mini peanut butter cups. Let me tell you, that one didn't last long at all!
Last fall, we even made pumpkin ice cream.
So this time around, we decided to get creative, and we made this s'mores flavored ice cream. It's filled with chocolate, marshmallows and graham cracker bits, just like the popular camping treat, and it tastes out of this world.
When I first heard about making ice cream without a machine, I was skeptical, and it seemed like one of those things that was way too good to be true. But it's definitely the real deal, and it's so simple.
You just make some whipped cream, and then you fold it into sweetened condensed milk and add whatever flavors and mix-ins you want. Then, you let it hang out in the freezer for a little while, and you've got a super tasty treat.
We had this incredible mixture along with homemade chocolate cake, which is another one of my favorite desserts. Can you have more than one favorite dessert? I hope so, because I certainly do!
I'll have to share the cake recipe soon since I've been making it a lot for all of the family birthdays we've got going on, but I keep forgetting to take pictures.
I'm glad I was able to get pictures of the ice cream because there's not much left -- It's that good. It was an awesome Mother's Day, but you don't need a special occasion to enjoy this frozen treat.
