    Easy Sandwich Wraps

Hi Friends! Do you ever make wraps? My kids will eat just about anything if it's rolled up in a tortilla. Even when I plan a taco night, they ask for burritos instead, even though the same ingredients are in both. And, they even prefer wraps over sandwiches. Since school is starting up in a few weeks, I've been planning out the kids' lunches, and these Easy Sandwich Wraps are definitely going on the menu!

The kids tell me that the main reason they prefer wraps over sandwiches is that wraps are not nearly as messy. The kiddos hate when the filling falls out of their sandwiches, especially when it happens in a crowded lunchroom.

And, they're easier to eat when you're on the go. I can vouch for this!

Personally, I like packing wraps in the kids' lunches because I know that the entire roll is more likely to be consumed by my picky offspring. I have a pack of crust haters, and I hate to think that a good portion of their sandwiches end up in the trash!

So while I'll still pack sandwiches, sandwich wraps are a nice change of pace.

    Ingredients for Sandwich Wraps

    • Large tortillas
    • Cream cheese
    • Deli ham
    • Salami
    • Sliced provolone and cheddar cheese
    • Iceberg lettuce
    • Mustard (optional)
    • Tomatoes
    • Sandwich sprinkle (optional, but we like the Penzeys brand)
Spread the cream cheese on the tortillas, and begin layering the meat and cheese.
Top with lettuce and tomato slices, if desired.
Roll up the tortillas tightly, and cut each tortilla roll in half.

If I'm packing the wraps for school lunches, I'll wrap them in aluminum foil to keep them as cold as possible.

Because it is still incredibly hot here when school starts, I like to use meats like ham and salami at first. I usually start using turkey when the temperature goes down. Or, I just serve turkey wraps for lunches or even a quick dinner at home.

And sometimes, I'll make the kiddos some peanut butter and cream cheese wraps, just for a change of pace. This is a quick and super tasty after school snack idea, as well.

And for those days when the kids have after school activities, I like to serve the sandwich wraps for a quick and easy dinner. They're perfect for dipping in homemade buttermilk ranch dressing, and they're packed with protein. Best of all, I don't have to cook a thing!

Do you have kids heading off to school soon? I can't believe it's that time already -- yikes!

Thanks for dropping in to see me today!

We make mini pizzas, but your idea sounds wonderful -- I'll have to try that. 🙂

My kids love wraps too and I agree they are perfect for school lunches! Another idea is to make pizza wraps in the microwave - little pizza sauce, cheese and some pepperoni slices - my kids love them.
