Holiday Fun Begins with New Pajamas

This post is brought to you by Joe Boxer for Kmart. However, all opinions are my own.

One of my favorite holiday traditions has been giving and receiving brand new pajamas for Christmas. Growing up, we always looked forward to wearing festive, new jammies on Christmas Eve, and of course, we had to take plenty of pictures, even when I was old enough to know that this wasn't cool.

But, even after I was married, I wanted to continue the pajama-giving tradition, and I started buying my husband Joe Boxer pajamas. Luckily, this was long before smart phones and selfies were invented!

So, when my own kids came along, I just had to pass this time-honored tradition on to the next generation. It just wouldn't be the same without cozy, new jammies, and I'm happy to say that the kids love this tradition as much as I did! Not only do they love receiving new pajamas, but they also enjoy a lot of other traditions while wearing them.

    New Christmas pajamas

We've collected loads of Christmas books over the years, and when I pull them out of hiding, the kids enjoy a some quiet time, lost in the familiar stories. Considering how much these guys enjoy their electronics, I see this as a small Christmas miracle!

I usually make some popcorn for the kiddos to munch on while they're reading, and they love to share the snack with a few friends.

We also enjoy just about every Christmas movie there is on our weekly family movie nights. And, it's another small miracle that I don't have to drag the teens out from their lairs to watch the movies with us -- they love these stories too!

And, the younger ones still want to know how Santa manages to fit down the chimney and then slips through the glass screen without breaking it and waking the entire family. Believe me, they can debate the various theories for hours!

We're a pretty easygoing family, and my kids love the comfort and whimsical style of Joe Boxer pajamas from Kmart. My little guy just loves camo, and he was thrilled to open a pair of camo jammies this year. They're green, and that's Christmassy, right?

And my little Diva just squealed when she saw these pink, white and black bear jammies -- total diva colors!

You all know how thrifty I am, and Kmart has awesome prices on Joe Boxer pajamas for the whole family, even picky teens! And let me tell you, that alone makes me squeal! from pajama sets to sleep pants and fuzzy socks, you can mix and match to your heart's content, without blowing your budget.

My kids loved the styles so much that they asked if they could wear their new pajamas to school on pajama day -- imagine that!

What are your favorite holiday traditions? Does your family get new pajamas? Would your kids wear them to school?

    Have a fun day!

Hi from SITS Saturday Sharefest! I love the idea of new PJs at Christmastime, and I hope to start doing that in the next year or two. 🙂
