Make a batch of Pepperoni Pizza Dip Wonton Cups in less than 30 minutes, and enjoy them as an easy dinner or tasty game day appetizer.

I can't even begin to describe how much I love, love, love football. Actually, I should say college football, because that's really what we watch. I like to make a bunch of easy appetizers, and then set them out to nibble on while we enjoy the game. Even the non football-loving family members like game days because there's plenty of food, and Mom and Dad are glued to the TV for a couple of hours. So, there's no nagging about homework or chores for a little while.

Last year, some of our favorite snacks were pepperoni pizza dip, jalapeno popper cups with bacon and of course, wings -- gotta have wings on game day! The only problem is that the dip is messy, and it's challenging to pile some on a plate and try to scoop it up while you're watching TV.

So, I started making the pizza dip just like the jalapeno popper cups -- in wonton wrappers. These are so much easier to manage, and the kids just love them!

Basically, you place the wrappers in a muffin tin, and then you layer on the dip ingredients. Bake them in the oven for a few minutes, and you've got a crunchy, creamy, cheesy, savory snack.

I tried making these more like a pizza, but the family didn't really care for them. But they absolutely love these little individual mini pizza dip cups.

Not only are these easy to make, but you can also vary the ingredients a little to suit your own preferences. I've also made some with sausage instead of pepperoni, and I've made some without any meat at all. Whatever works. You could even make these truly bite sized by using a mini muffin tin!

And, if you're not a football fan, I suppose we can still be friends. Just kidding!

Seriously though, if you're not a football fan, you can always make these pepperoni pizza dip wonton cups for a very quick and easy dinner or lunch. We do this sometimes on Friday nights, and it's way cheaper than ordering pizza -- very family friendly too! We might watch a movie and nibble on some very tasty finger foods -- fun times!

    Have a fun day, friends!

Can these be made ahead and reheated?

Making these for the first time for Super Bowl. What are the proportions for each ingredient in each cup. No mixing of ingredients, just layering?
      Thank you in advance!

I just try to make everything come out even -- no mixing or measuring. It's also easy to add more sauce or cheese if you want.

You can try using just the shredded cheese and sauce so that it would be more like pizza cups. Let me know how they turn out. 🙂
