Easy Rolo Pretzel Recipe

Rolo pretzel Bites are honestly one of the easiest recipes you can make. With only 3 ingredients and minimal prep time, these tasty treats are the perfect combination of salty and sweet.

I love making this easy treat for Valentine’s Day. But this sweet treat is perfect for the holiday season or any holiday, really. Just swap the color of the M&M candies and make these for Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day or July 4th. Super easy!

Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients for this easy recipe. They should be easy to find in most grocery stores. Full amounts are in the printable recipe card below.

  • Pretzel Snaps — Pretzel squares or square pretzels work best here because the larger surface holds the Rolo candy better than other shapes.
  • Rolo Candies — We love the combination of chocolate and caramel with the salty crunchy pretzels. You can make pretzel hugs using Hershey’s Hugs or kisses instead of Rolos.
  • Colorful M&M candy

You will also need a large baking sheet or cookie sheet and parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean up in case the chocolate and caramel runs onto the baking tray.

How to Make Pretzels Topped with Rolos

To make the Rolo pretzels, just place the pretzels on a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place an unwrapped rolo on top of each pretzel, and bake for 3-5 minutes. Then, place an M&M on top of each Rolo.

How to Store

Allow the Rolo pretzel candies to cool completely. Then, store in an airtight container at room temperature. These pretzel rolo treats last for about 1 week before the pretzels start to get a little soft. You can freeze these sweet treats for up to 3 months — just be sure to thaw completely before eating!

Recipe Tips

Be sure to unwrap the Rolos before adding to the pretzels. This is probably the hardest part of the whole recipe, but get your kids to help with this part!

Don’t let the caramel candies bake too long. When they start to look shiny, take them out of the oven.

Very gently press the chocolate candies over the Rolo. For something different, use pecan halves to make Rolo pretzel turtles.

In addition to the M&M’s, you can add holiday sprinkles for extra sparkle.
