    White Chocolate Dipped Oreos

This post may contain affiliate links. Please see disclosure for more information. Published: Jan 9, 2015 · Modified: Feb 25, 2021 by Dee

    Hi Friends,

The kiddos and I made our first Valentine's Day treats yesterday, and they were so cute that I just had to share. We had Oreos and we had white chocolate candy melts, which were left over from Christmas, so it was the perfect excuse to combine the two into one tasty little snack. These White Chocolate Dipped Oreos are quick and easy to make, and they're perfect for Valentine's Day.

Who doesn't love Oreos? I have to confess that whenever I give them to the kids, I usually have to grab one for myself and dip it into some milk -- usually when the kids aren't looking! I have to say that after chocolate chip cookies, these are probably my favorite. And, dipping the Oreos into some white chocolate just makes them even better!

To Make Valentine's Day White Chocolate Dipped Oreos, You'll Need:

    • Oreos or generic chocolate sandwich cookies
    • White chocolate or white candy melts
    • Valentine's candy sprinkles

    Directions

These are so super easy that there really isn't a recipe. I've used white chocolate chips and white candy melts, and I have to say that I personally prefer the candy melts. They're just a little sweeter, and the coating seems to firm up easier, but either one is fine.

Just empty the candy into a microwaveable bowl and follow the package directions for melting. You can also use a double boiler, but I've found that melting the candy in short bursts on the defrost setting works fine.

Dip the cookies into the melted white chocolate and set on wax paper. Then, top them with the sprinkles. I usually set them in the fridge until they're firm, and then, it's time to eat!

These are perfect for making a quick treat with the kids when you don't have a lot of time -- my favorite! Or, you can make them for yourself or share with a few friends or a special Valentine!

You could also try dark or milk chocolate or even a different color candy melt. I like the way the white coating contrasts with the chocolate sandwich cookies, although when you're eating them, I guess it doesn't matter!

Have you made anything for Valentine's Day yet?

Thanks so much for dropping in for a quick snack. Have a super day!
