Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients for this chocolate chip cheesecake dip. If you don’t have these pantry staples on hand, you can find them in your grocery stores.

  • Cream cheese — softened at room temperature
  • Butter — softened, not melted
  • Vanilla extract
  • Brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar or confectioner’s sugar
  • Mini chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Chip Dip

First, set the cream cheese and butter out to soften up. You really need room temperature butter and cream cheese to make mixing easier.

Then, cream the butter and softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer. You can also do this in a stand mixer if you have one.

Next, add the vanilla extract and brown sugar to the cream cheese mixture and beat until creamy. Then, gradually add the powdered sugar.

If you add it all at once, it tends to fly everywhere! Beat the ingredients until well combined.

Finally, mix the chocolate chips with a large spoon or spatula. I used half a cup here, which is a decent amount of chocolate chips.

You can add more if you want or add them to the top of the creamy chocolate chip dip before serving.

And, that’s all it takes to make cheesecake dip! Just spoon the dip into a small serving bowl, and you’re ready to eat!

What to Serve with Sweet Cream Cheese Dip

So, what do you serve with cream cheese chocolate chip dip?

Any of your favorite dessert dipping foods will work great with this yummy dip. Try animal crackers, vanilla wafers, honey graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, Teddy Grahams, pretzel rods, or sugar cookies.

Satisfy your cookie dough craving without too many sweets by dipping with fresh fruit. Strawberries, apple slices, or your favorite fruit are all great choices!

Variations

There are a couple ways to customize this easy cookie dough dip to your liking.

For a richer dip, add more butter. You can add 1 stick or a half cup butter instead of a quarter cup.

To turn this into a cannoli filling or cannoli dip, use ricotta cheese instead of cream cheese.

Instead of semisweet chocolate chips, use milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or dark chocolate chips.

Make a funfetti dip and get a fun pop of color by adding sprinkles.

How to Store

Store creamy cookie dough dip in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap. It’ll last for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.

Bring dip to room temperature before serving.
