Hi friends! I’ve got a super easy treat to share with you today, and if you happen to like lemons, you’ll just love these tasty dipped lemon snaps. What makes these dipped cookies so easy is that they start out with store bought cookies. Yes, you’ll have to cheat a little, but the taste is so worth it!
If you know me, you know that I love to bake, but I’m all about taking shortcuts to make life a little easier. And really, who doesn’t appreciate an easy treat every now and then?
I don’t know how many of you are familiar with Sprouts Farmers Market, but they have the tastiest lemon snaps. They’re perfect for munching on, and since they’re not too sweet, I usually pack a few into the kids’ lunches.
But I was looking for something a little sweeter for desert last week, and I decided to dip some of these little cookies into yellow candy melts. The only problem was that the cookies didn’t taste as lemony after being dipped. So, I added a drop of lemon oil to the melted candy, and the result was awesome! You could also add a few drops of lemon juice or lemon flavoring, instead.
- 1 bag of yellow candy melts
- 1/2 bag of white candy melts or white chocolate chips
- Lemon snaps
- Lemon essential oil or lemon flavoring or juice
I found that adding the lemon essential oil really brought out the lemon flavor in the cookies, and they made a very refreshing treat. These would be perfect for summer!
These little dipped lemon snaps were snapped up right away. And since this was such an easy dessert to make, the kids even made some more on their own. And those were outstanding!
Thanks for visiting!
