This Air Fryer Corn on the Cob recipe is a quick and easy way to cook fresh corn on the cob. Air fry corn in foil or without for the perfect side dish in minutes!

Easy air fryer corn on the cob is the best way to get the taste of roasted corn without an oven or grill.

No heating up the house in summer or standing outside in the heat to enjoy this easy side dish! You can enjoy delicious corn cooked to perfection with just a few minutes of cooking time.

4 ears of corn, avocado oil, sea salt, pepper.

Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients for this air fryer corn recipe.

  • Ears of sweet corn — Clean corn, remove husks and corn silk. You may need to trim the ends of the corn cobs to fit in the air fryer.
  • Avocado oil — or olive oil or vegetable oil to rub on the corn before cooking. Olive oil spray will also work.
  • Sea salt and black pepper — optional

How to Cook Corn on the Cob in the Air Fryer

First, brush oil all over the cleaned corn. This prevents the corn kernels from sticking and drying out while cooking.

Next, season corn with salt and pepper to lock in flavor. You can add more seasonings after cooking.

Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees f. Then, place the prepared corn into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

I can get 4 ears of corn in my Ninja Foodi. You may be able to get more or less depending on what brand of air fryer you have.

How Long to Cook Corn on the Cob in the Air Fryer

Air fry corn at 390 for 8-10 minutes or until done to your liking. Use kitchen tongs to turn the corn over about half way through the cook time.

Keep in mind that all air fryers are different and the total cooking time will vary with different brands, the size of your air fryer and size of the corn.

Cook frozen corn in the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes or until done to your liking.

Air Fryer Corn on the Cob in Foil

You can also air fry corn in aluminum foil. Wrapping corn in foil before air frying is a great way to lock in flavor. This step also prevents the corn from drying out during the cooking process.

So if you don’t want extra crispy kernels, just rub oil or butter over the corn, and season it before wrapping it in foil. Then, air fry as usual.

Variations

Go beyond salt and pepper and get creative when seasoning your corn. Add chili powder or cayenne pepper for spice.

Make Mexican street corn with a mix of sour cream, mayo, lime juice, Cotija cheese and chili powder.

You can take the corn off the cob and make Mexican street corn salad or in any recipe that calls for cooked corn.

How to Store Leftovers and Reheat

Refrigerate leftover corn in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat leftover air-fried corn on the cob in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 360 degrees f or until heated through.

Helpful Tips

Make sure corn is completely dry before rubbing with oil. Otherwise, they oil won’t stick.

Always preheat the air fryer for best results.

Arrange corn pieces in a single layer for even cooking. You can cook corn in batches if you can’t fit them into the air fryer basket at once.

Instructions 

  • Rub corn with avocado oil, and season with salt and pepper, if desired
  • Preheat air fryer to 390°
  • Place corn in single layer in air fryer basket, and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until done to your liking, turning halfway through during cooking process
  • Add butter and additional seasonings after cooking, if desired

Notes

You can wrap corn in foil if you want softer air-fried corn. Add butter and your favorite seasoning mix before wrapping in foil.
Cook time may vary with different air fryer brands and models.
