Air Fryer Broccoli is an easy side dish or low carb appetizer. See how to cook broccoli in the air fryer until perfectly crisp tender in just a few minutes.
Roasted broccoli is quick and easy when cooked in the air fryer. Toss it with olive oil and a few spices, and it’s ready to eat in just 6 minutes!
Some of my favorite air fryer recipes involve vegetables. Brussels sprouts are light and crispy, potatoes are cooked to perfection, and broccoli is tender crisp and delicious!
Best of all, broccoli and other veggies cook super fast in the air fryer — maybe not as fast as in the microwave, but the texture is completely different. So, if you want a quick and easy side dish, this broccoli recipe is for you!
How to Roast Broccoli in the Air Fryer
First, rinse the broccoli, and pat it dry. Chop your broccoli into bite-sized pieces, and set aside.
Get out a medium mixing bowl, and pour in the olive oil. Next, add your salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir and toss to coat.
If you prefer dryer veggies, you can reduce the oil to 1 teaspoon. Or, you can use a mister to add the oil that way.
How Long to Cook Broccoli in the Air Fryer
Place the broccoli into the air fryer basket, and preheat the air fryer. Next, add the broccoli to the cooking tray or basket, and air fry for 6 minutes.
If you like crispier broccoli, add a couple of minutes to the cook time. When the broccoli is cooked to you liking, remove the tray, and serve.
Vary the Seasonings
Sometimes, I sprinkle some ground ginger on the veggies instead of or in addition to the garlic. A little soy sauce added after cooking gives the broccoli even more flavor.
You can also sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on the veggies after cooking. A spritz of lemon juice is good, too!
A Healthy Snack or Appetizer
You can serve the broccoli as a side dish, or serve it as a snack or appetizer. I started making crispy broccoli as an after school snack — kind of a sneaky way to get the kids to eat their veggies!
Don’t forget the ranch dressing for dipping!
