Make Air Fryer Oreos with crescent rolls and powdered sugar for a super easy dessert that tastes like the fried Oreo cookies you get at the fair.
These fried Oreo cookies are definitely the most unusual air fryer recipe I’ve made yet. But, they are super easy, and they taste amazingly delicious!
If you’ve ever had deep fried Oreos at the fair or at a restaurant, you know they are dipped in batter and fried until golden brown. They’re tasty but definitely high in calories and fat.
Air fryer Oreos are wrapped in crescent roll dough and air fried until crispy and golden brown. They’re lower in fat and calories, but they taste just as delicious.
Actually, my daughter thinks they taste even better than the deep fried cookies! And, they’re perfect when you want a super easy dessert.
How to Make Air Fried Oreos with Crescent Rolls
You only need 3 ingredients for this easy air fryer dessert recipe:
- Oreo cookies or any sandwich cookie
- Crescent roll dough
- Powdered sugar
First, open the package of crescent rolls, and separate the triangles. I found it easiest to roll up the triangles slightly and press them into circular shapes.
Next, place an Oreo cookie on top of the circles. I used my silicone baking mat as a surface just to make clean-up easier, but you don’t need to do this.
Then, fold the dough up and over the cookie so that they meet in the middle. Press the ends of the dough together so that they stick.
I made these fried Oreos in my Instant Pot Omni Plus air fryer, so I could make 8 at a time. It comes with a metal basket, so I sprayed the basket with non stick spray.
If you are using the Vortex or any air fryer with non stick coating, you’ll want to skip the non stick spray and use olive oil mist or something similar.
Place the cookies into the basket, seams side down. If you are using a smaller air fryer, you’ll want to air fry the cookies in batches.
How Long to Air Fry Oreos
Every air fryer is different, but I found air frying the cookies at 380 degrees for 6 minutes was perfect. I recommend experimenting to find what works best for your appliance.
Flip the cookies over about halfway through. And, dust with powdered sugar after the cookies are done. So good!
Try Different Kinds of Cookies
We made regular Oreos, and we also tried chocolate and lemon Oreos. We actually like the flavor from the lemon cookies better. Don’t forget, any sandwich cookie will work here.
