What Makes a Good Summer Dessert?
Summer desserts typically come in bright colors and usually involve fun summer themes like my Easy Flip Flop Cookies! Unlike winter foods, which are heavy and filling, summer desserts are either light and fluffy like my Cool Whip pies. Or, they can be cool and refreshing like my homemade ice cream.
No-bake desserts are especially desirable. You can avoid turning on the oven and heating your house up in the middle of summer. Because there’s no baking involved, these desserts are easier and take less time to make.
Some of these easy desserts are not specific to summer. But, you can customize them with fun summer themes! For example, add rainbow sprinkles to the Ritz Cracker cookies or the Peanut Butter Bars for a quick pop of color.
Or, put the No Bake Banana Pudding in a vibrant cup parfait-style. You can also decorate the Dirt Pie cups to look like my Summer Beach Party Cupcakes! However you decorate them, you can enjoy these easy desserts at your summer pool party or after dinner.
